What does copyright protect?
Copyright protects intellectual creations, i.e. works of literature, music, visual arts, photography, cinematography and architecture. This also includes computer programs, databases and works of applied art.
In order to be protected by copyright, a work must fulfill the following requirements:
- It must be a personal intellectual creation. This means that it must be the result of an individual creative effort.
